Description
DescriptionSIU Simmons Law School is currently seeking adjunct faculty who are interested in teaching Trusts & Estates, Family Law, Commercial Law, Jurisprudence, Employment Law, Trial Advocacy, skills courses, or other courses in our upper-division program. This is a part-time, non-tenure track, term faculty appointment. Application review will begin after October 17, 2025, with applications accepted until the positions are filled.

The target salary offer for this position is $3,750.00 monthly. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. Actual salary for part-time appointment's will be prorated based on the percentage FTE of the appointment.
Examples of Duties
Classroom instruction, including possible hybrid and online instruction, and other duties as assigned by the Dean.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school by date of hire and have been admitted to a state bar (active or inactive status) for at least five years.
- Minimum five years legal practice are required. The minimum years of required practice may be waived on account of exceptional circumstances, such as outstanding law school performance or an advanced degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior law school teaching or legal training experience and a demonstrated interest in training law students are preferred.
