Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid driver's license. Grade 2 (Hourly)
Position Description:
This position will be a night shift (12AM-8AM) with shift differential provided.
The primary responsibilities for the position of Housing Security Officer are to provide walking security coverage to housing facilities or to provide coverage at resident housing front desk when vacant. The security officer will assist in the monitoring of housing parking lot facilities and provide walking escort to students. Must have the ability to perform extensive sitting, standing and walking; to communicate effectively; to operate two-way radios and telephones.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide unlocks to students for their assigned dorm rooms
- Perform written notification of security and safety deficiencies
- Perform escorts
- First responder to fire alarms
- Strong communication skills to coordinate needs for ULPD and assist with needs of students during sensitive situations
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
