Summary:
The Dearborn Police Department is an Accredited Agency that employs approximately 190 sworn police personnel. The city of Dearborn is the 7th largest city in Michigan and employs the 4th largest municipal police department in the state of Michigan.
Salary:
Starting pay is $69,080 with a top salary of $90,111 after four years. Top salary of $101,829 with holidays, shift premium, and allowances.
Lateral Transfer Program:
Officers with 2 years of Police experience starting pay - $77,078
Officers with 3 years of Police experience starting pay - $85,081

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Must meet all employment standards for Michigan Law Enforcement Officers as established by MCOLES including:
1) A valid driver’s license.
2) Good moral character and no record of criminal convictions (including expungements).
3) U. S. Citizenship.
4) Minimum age, 18 years.
No Felony Convictions
Current passing score on the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) Physical Agility and Written Tests. Information on MCOLES can be found at http://www.michigan.gov/msp or by calling (517) 322-1417. Apply directly with testing centers.
Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this position (listed on reverse) with or without reasonable accommodation as determined by a post-job-offer physical examination.
