The Hanover Police Department is accepting applications for entry level or lateral entry Police Officers. We are currently offering a$2500structured hiring bonus. Salary enhanced with physical fitness and educational incentives, with increase at six months of successful employment and completion of NH Police Academy, and regular opportunities for pay raises each year thereafter, over and above entry level salary range listed here. LATERALS:
Structured hiring bonus: *UPDATED*Now offering $15,000 for NH full-time certified officers. $10,000 for out-of-state full-time officers.
SALARY INCENTIVES:
Education incentives: 2% added to base salary for Associates, 4% for Bachelors, 6% for Masters Degree.
Physical fitness incentives: (Cooper Standards, 50th Percentile): 2%added to base salary first year, 1%added for meeting requirements each year thereafter, up to a total of 8%.

How to apply
All entry level (non-certified) candidates will be required to pass a written exam before moving on to a physical fitness test the same day. We encourage candidates to review the physical fitness standards (Download PDF reader) ahead of the test date. Candidates that pass both the written exam and physical fitness test will then participate in an oral board interview process, also taking place that same day. Hiring process also includes polygraph, medical and psychological examinations, and extensive background investigation.
