Supports Metro’s security operations through a variety of security support duties including greeting visitors, badge creation, key control, and maintaining security records. Assisting with monitoring site security, responding to alerts and incidents, and various security-related projects. Works under the general direction of the Security Manager.

Examples of Duties
-
- Issues and distributes badges and keys in accordance with Metro’s security policies and procedures.
- Assist with managing access control by verifying the identity of visitors, contractors, or staff requesting entry, and ensuring proper procedures are followed.
- Performs badge system and equipment maintenance, including printer maintenance, creation of badge access levels, and troubleshooting of equipment. Responsible for ordering and maintaining badging supply inventory.
- Maintains accurate records of key and lock issuance utilizing security software. Generates reports to track badge and key activity.
- Supports in the audit of keys and cores for all Metro facilities.
- Assist in reviewing video footage and security system logs during security breaches or concerns to identify potential threats, incidents, or suspicious activities.
- Collaborate with security team to develop, review, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for security processes.
- Respond promptly to security alerts, alarms, and incidents, following appropriate escalation procedures. Accurately document and maintain security logs for all monitored activities.
- Assists with the Security Division special projects and urgent requests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of:
- Security procedures and processes
- Access control processes and security software
- ID credentialing processes (both international and US)
- MS Office software and general office processes and procedures
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Operating security system software
- Customer service
- Maintaining high accuracy in work
- Working independently and prioritizing tasks effectively
- Learn Security Access Control systems and protocols
- Learn security databases/systems and running ad hoc reports
- Maintain printer and badge equipment
- Assist with badge design and technical system operation
- Assist with special projects and urgent requests
- Assist with key and core audits
- Work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
- Adapt to changing priorities and urgent security requests
- Follow security policies and compliance procedures rigorously
Education, Licensing, Certification, and other Requirements
High School Degree or GED. Valid Driver’s license.
