Job Description
The Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager is a leadership role with comprehensive responsibility for planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing complex cybersecurity projects and/or programs. This position provides strategic oversight and direction for multiple cybersecurity projects simultaneously, or particularly large-scale, high-visibility cybersecurity initiatives. The role requires advanced expertise in cybersecurity domains while demonstrating exceptional project management capabilities to successfully deliver critical cybersecurity solutions that align with the organizational objectives.
This position requires a strategic thinker who can balance technical cybersecurity expertise with advanced project management capabilities while effectively engaging with senior stakeholders across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Strategic Client Program Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple, complex cybersecurity projects and/or programs for enterprise clients, ensuring alignment with their strategic business and security objectives.
- Executive Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary strategic advisor and point of contact for senior client executives, including CISOs; manage expectations, provide executive-level reporting on program status, risks, and value.
- Comprehensive Program Governance & Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and enforce robust program governance frameworks tailored to client environments; champion quality practices and ensure adherence to delivery methodologies.
- Financial & Strategic Risk Management: Direct the financial planning and management of substantial project/program budgets, optimizing for ROI; proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate strategic risks impacting client cybersecurity initiatives.
- Complex Dependency & Change Management: Strategically navigate and manage intricate dependencies across client ecosystems, technical workstreams, and third-party services; lead the impact assessment and integration of significant change requests.
- Team Leadership & Vendor Orchestration: Lead and mentor project teams (potentially including other PMs) delivering client solutions; strategically oversee third-party vendors and consultants to ensure quality and alignment with client requirements.
- Cybersecurity Domain Expertise Application: Leverage a strong understanding of cybersecurity domains, emerging threats, and compliance requirements to guide client discussions, solution implementation, and risk management strategies.
About you
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 9-11 years of progressively responsible on hands experience in project management.
- At least 5 years of hands on experience leading complex cybersecurity projects, preferably in international or enterprise environments with a strong understanding of security solutions and services.
- Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, tools, and techniques with relevant certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, PGMP or MSP, P3O, etc.).
- Demonstrated expertise in cybersecurity domains with relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) is a significant plus.
- Excellent leadership capabilities with proven experience managing project teams and developing talent.
- Advanced, strong and effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to executive stakeholders.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing substantial project budgets.
- Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to solve complex problems creatively.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and/or programs simultaneously while maintaining quality and governance standards.
- Cross-cultural and working-time flexibility.
- Strong team player.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance under workload.
- Virtual team management.
- Working in an international environment.
- English proficiency at the C1 level (CEFR) is required. Equivalent certifications such as PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, or other recognized English language tests are also acceptable.
- French language is a plus.
