Responsibilities:
- Delivers the highest quality care to patients.
- Responds to 911 calls and assists in the Emergency Department as needed
- Provides direct patient care during transport of patients and guided by protocols or direct medical control
- Delivers care to patients of all ages and includes inpatient, outpatients, and those at offsite locations.
Requirements:
- Must also have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and a caring attitude
- Graduate from an accredited paramedic program.
- Current state of Iowa Paramedic license.
- ACLS, PALS and NRP certification or willing to obtain
- Valid Iowa driver's license
Schedule:
- 72 hours a pay period.
- Varied day/night shifts
- Combination of 24 & 12 hour shifts
- Know your schedule in advance and plan for a work life balance
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department.
