Solo practitioner in Rochester, NY, seeks a detail-oriented Corporate/Business Law Associate Attorney with a minimum of 1-3 years' experience in corporate and business law. This is a remote, independent contractor position offering flexible, as-needed work (currently estimated at 3-10 hours per week, with the potential for growth). Assignments will be provided with clear timelines for completion, making this an excellent opportunity to supplement your income. 

Our current main need is for high volume relatively low complexity agreements with use of very specific playbooks with rigid turn times (usually 24 hours). We will have other types of work available too once the candidate handles these effectively.

Compensation for this role includes payment per document negotiation/review or an hourly rate for other assigned tasks. The hourly compensation range is $65.00-$80.00 per hour for hourly work or generally the equivalent for flat rate work, based on demonstrated experience.

Requirements

Experience with small business dealings.
Knowledge of corporate books (specifically minute books).
Strong understanding of corporate certificates and processes.
Experience with trademark and copyrights (a plus, but not a requirement).
Experience with playbooks or position guides is a plus.
Comprehensive knowledge of business contracts.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 
Proficiency in legal research and writing, with the ability to produce efficient drafts.
