We are partnering with a leading international law firm to hire a Matter Pricing & Profitability Manager for their growing team.

This senior regional position offers substantial visibility across Hong Kong and Singapore, driving the development, analysis, and review of high-value commercial proposals for complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.

Responsibilities:

• Advise matter partners and senior stakeholders on innovative pricing strategies, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and structured negotiation planning.
• Lead the development and embedding of advanced matter pricing capabilities across APAC, specifically focusing on technology-assisted delivery economics and alternative commercial fee structures.
• Manage the end-to-end financial aspects of strategic client panel processes, ensuring competitive commercial positioning and robust risk management.
• Construct bespoke financial models and maintain a library of standardized off-the-shelf commercial templates under high-pressure RFP deadlines.
• Facilitate the smooth passage of regional fee proposals through internal governance committees while continuously improving pricing approval workflows.
• Collaborate closely with Legal Project Managers (LPMs), legal tech, and billing teams to ensure successful system implementation of complex fee arrangements.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training frameworks to enhance pricing competency and commercial acumen among fee-earners firm-wide.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated exposure to commercial pricing within a leading legal, client-side corporate, or professional management consultancy capacity.
• Strong financial numeracy, with a Qualified Accountant (CPA or equivalent) designation highly desired.
• Proven capability to build complex financial models and manipulate data utilizing advanced Excel, SAP, or Tableau.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the corporate diplomacy and gravitas required to constructively challenge and influence partners.
• Deep understanding of B2B fee structures, value-based pricing models, and competitive procurement workflows.
• Confident verbal and written English communication skills tailored effectively for executive and senior stakeholder consumption.
