The South Williamsport Area School District is accepting applications for the following position:

School Police Officer Applicants will provide law enforcement to District schools and properties by monitoring and ensuring the safety and security of students, staff and community. Requirements include PA State Police Academy Graduate OR Municipal Police Officer Education and Training Commission (MPOETC) Graduate, Act 120 Certified OR other Police Officer Certification. A minimum of five-years' experience on PA State Police Force, Municipal Police Force, SPO or other certified police officer and satisfactory completion of NASRO (National Association of School Resource Officers), or 40-hour Basic SRO Course training required. Previous school policing experience preferred. CPR, AED and First Aid certified; ability to maintain current school clearances as required by law. Ability to quality with district issued duty weapons and all other certifications as required by law.
